Your order will reserve this next batch. Your cheese will ship when it is ready, straight from our aging room to your door. Each release is limited by how much cheese we can produce, so there is a finite amount available. Your purchase will save your spot and create the demand to continue producing cheese from cows that stay with their calves. After you place an order, we will email you with an approximate time that your cheese is finished aging, and again just before it ships.

You are pre ordering two small blocks of cheese that are 250g each. We feel that the 6 month Cheddar and Salers cheese is the best place to begin on your Moral Milk tasting adventure.

Both our Cheddar and our Salers are aged for 6 months to develop a depth of flavour that is balanced in tanginess without be overpowering. It is great a sample of what we have to offer that can be used to confidently approach our other cheeses

Absolutely. You can add more cheese after checkout if you’d like to stock up or try more of each variety. We’ll also be adding more Moral Milk cheeses to our collection as they become available.

No. Our cheese is made with raw milk, preserving the natural character of the milk and allowing its unique cultures and flavours to shine through. This cheese is then aged for 6 months—far beyond the minimum aging period required for raw-milk cheese in Canada. The result is a deeper, more complex flavour that reflects the milk, the farm and the cheesemaking process. Aged cheese offers a traditional way to experience the distinctive character of raw milk without consuming raw milk itself.

Not yet. We’re currently preparing to ship within Ontario, which requires approval and inspection by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Shipping cheese across Canada requires additional Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) licensing, inspections and compliance requirements, which we’re working toward.If you’re outside Ontario, please stay tuned. We hope to offer Canada wide shipping as soon as possible.

Our aged cheese is best stored in the refrigerator, where the cool temperature allows it to continue developing slowly over time. There is no need to worry if your cheese spends some time at room temperature. In fact, we recommend letting it come to room temperature before eating. The flavours and texture really come alive when the cheese has had a chance to warm up. Unlike fresh cheese, aged cheese has traditionally been transported and stored without refrigeration.
